The table below answers some frequently asked questions about what happens during and after a treatment session

Reflexology:
The whole system is worked via manipulation of reflex points on
the feet or hands           

                                    






































Indian Champissage:
Works directly on the upper back and arms, shoulders, neck, head and face  

Holistic Massage:
General Massage or work on specific areas such as
Tension Back Massage or Face & Scalp Massage

'M' Technique
Method of structured touch to provide a very gentle, soothing massage

Feet and lower legs are massaged with ghee or oils using a small three
metal bowl

How long does a
session last?










































Reflexology:
Forty-five minutes to one hour

(Additional time is required in the initial session for the taking of a case history)

Thirty to forty-five minutes

Holistic Massage:
Depending on treatment required: between
forty-five minutes and
one-hour fifteen minutes

What will you do when you are treating me?




























































Reflexology:
Work on your feet, lower legs and possibly your hands.
The touch is a light to firm movement of thumbs and fingers assisted by a small amount of beeswax or powder (non-talc). 
No tools or implements are used.






















































Indian Champissage: 
Work on your upper back, shoulders, arms, neck, face and scalp.  Oils can be used in the hair - but most people opt for a treatment without oils.

Holistic Massage:
Using beeswax, oil or powder - light, medium or firm movements are used to work on a combination of some or all of the following:
Upper and lower back, shoulders, legs, arms, abdomen, neck, face and scalp.

Using oil a very gentle sequence is performed to the back, legs, arms, neck, face and scalp.

Massage:
Feet and lower legs are massaged with a small three metal bowl using ghee or various oils.

should I wear?

Trousers with a leg wide enough to facilitate massage
of the calf muscle,

How long will a
course of treatment
last?













































Reflexology:
A typical course lasts between four and six sessions.  Regular maintenance treatments have proved popular with many clients











































Indian Champissage: 
A typical course lasts for three or four treatments.

Holistic Massage:
One treatment may ease a particular problem.  Some people find that regular treatments work as a preventative measure.

Evidence suggests that regular treatments have a cumulative effect. (see Massage Therapies page).

Many people who 'work on their feet' enjoy regular maintenance sessions.


Is there anything I should do following a treatment?



  





Maintain good levels of hydration. Avoid heavy meals, alcohol, tea and coffee for a few hours post treatment.
Note any change in symptoms, to inform your next session.
